A Brief History Of the Project.

This Euroworks Countach replica project started out in November 1994 and was completed in December 1996 taking over two years to complete. It is on a 5 in. stretched Fiero chassis with major modifications including completely removing the stock Fiero dashboard sheetmetal and welding in a new 1" tubular dash structure of my own design to accomodate a more authentic looking dash, also adding 1" steel tube supports from the roof down to the rear trunk area, and building a new interior back wall out of steel tubing to move the back wall(behind the seats) further forward like in the real car. All the interior pieces except the fiberglass seat shells are made from plywood using Duraglass to glue and shape the pieces. The interior has many items actually bought directly from Lamborghini dealers like the ashtray, dome light, steering wheel center pad, heater control lever, a/c & fan indicator lights, dash buttons for headlights, foglights, hazards, driving lights & warning light, actual front-firing and the round top-firing vents, all dealer items (I'm a stickler for authenticity)
The engine is a fresh 350 TPI mated to the stock fiero 5 speed, a custom exhaust system I designed using double flowmaster mufflers mounted in back one on top of the other to resemble the original car. The rear suspension consists of adjustible coil-overs and the front is an all custom crossmember with tubular A-arms and adjustible coil-overs. If you are thinking of building a Countach kit, it's a lot more involved than you could ever imagine. You have to have a real passion for the Countach if you want it to come out this nice!
